Prevent Claims, LLC, is a consulting firm devoted to preventing and resolving lawsuits. Its principal, S. Beville May, is an experienced investigator, mediator, negotiator and trainer. As
an expert in sexual harassment matters, Beville is often called upon to consult on sexual harassment issues.
Investigations
Investigations of workplace complaints are an effective tool for preventing lawsuits. We provide expert impartial investigations of claims and submit detailed Investigative Reports. Armed with these investigative reports, clients can decide on steps to forestall a threatened lawsuit.
- Mediations & Negotiations
If a lawsuit is already in the works, Beville can act as a neutral third party who shepherds parties towards a satisfactory resolution in a private mediation. If parties do not agree to mediation, Beville helps negotiate a settlement so the parties can avoid the disruption and high cost of lawsuits. We resolve lawsuits as early and cost-effectively as possible.
A seasoned trainer, Beville has designed and delivered employment practices training programs on sexual harassment, diversity issues, the Family Medical Leave Act, and other issues. She has also trained hundreds of lawyers and human resource professionals nationally on how to conduct expert impartial investigations of claims.
